Gainesville Community Ministry
Presents
The Jobs for Life Training Program
The Jobs for Life (JFL) training program provides a mechanism for men and women in the Body of Christ to lend a helping hand to people who desire to change their lives. These committed individuals, who participate in 16 class sessions, learn the Biblical values with loyal, hardworking employees who do their work "as unto the Lord."
However, the class work alone isn't enough to help someone make serious changes. Therefore, JFL calls on mighty men and women of God to serve as mentors called Champions who will mentor one of the students during the period of the class sessions and for a period of time beyond.
Similarly, students who complete the program are ready to work, but if there are no jobs for them, how will they be able to do their work "as unto the Lord"? Therefore, JFL calls on Christian businessmen and women to participate in networking with students to help them understand the qualities an employer desires, and for the students to demonstrate their qualities and gifts to the business community for potential future employment.
