Unusual Followers of Jesus: A Perspective Shift (Saul and Ananias)
Sunday, 21 April 2013

Series:  Unusual Followers of Jesus Speaker:  Pastor Rachel DeLaune
Passages:
  Acts 9:1-19

Description:
God loves us as we are but refuses to leave us that way.  Both Saul and Ananias were unusual followers of Jesus because they had to have a perspective change in order to be obedient to God. Saul had to be humbled and blinded to see the truth of who God is and Ananias had to face the fear of persecution from Saul in order to be obedient as well. Maybe you have power and prestige as Saul did or maybe you are the underdog being persecuted by the enemy. Either way, God isn’t finished with you yet. God wants to give you a perspective change to allow you to begin to see others, even your enemies, through God’s eyes!

Unusual Followers of Jesus: Empowered by the Spirit
Sunday, 07 April 2013

Series:  Unusual Followers of Jesus Speaker:  Pastor Rick Thompson
Passages:
  Acts 1:1-11

Description:
What did Jesus mean by leading us to receive His Spirit? What must we do before we can be “filled” with the Holy Spirit of God? Once we ask ourselves some hard questions, the key is to present ourselves to God, ask with an obedient heart, then receive Him in faith. Then watch out as God moves in to empower us to live like never before!
