The One Thing...Demands Everything
Sunday, 25 September 2011

Series:  Love God, Love Others, Change the World Speaker:  Rick Thompson
Passages:
  Romans 12:1-2

Description:
What does it look like to love God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind and all our strength? That is something that isn't easy for us to understand or to do...it doesn't come natural. We have to start with a better understanding of who God is and how much God loves us in order to become the 'Glory' of our His creation. Join us as Rick explains how the one thing demands everything.

The One Thing We Are Made For
Sunday, 18 September 2011

Series:  Love God, Love Others, Change the World Speaker:  Rick Thompson
Passages:
  1 John 4:7-12; Songs 7:10; Psalm 86

Description:
We know we should Love God, but we doubt if we can sustain a relationship with Him because we know who we are. In our own internal thoughts we wonder how He can love us. What if we approach this from a different perspective? What if we try to see ourselves from God's perspective? How does he really feel about us? What is the Truth and can we handle it? God wants us to know the Truth of how He feels about us. Join us as Rick helps us discover just how much God loves us.

What The World Needs Now: A Church that Loves Exceptionally
Sunday, 11 September 2011

Series:  Love God, Love Others, Change the World Speaker:  Rick Thompson
Passages:
  Mark 12:28-34; Matthew 28:18-20

Description:
The ministry leaders at Grace have been asking themselves for the past year what type of church we are called to be. If Jesus led our church what would it look like? Over the past year, we have come upon a simple purpose of what Jesus said our church should be. We are to Love God, Love Others, and Change the World. If we are known for how much we love God and how much we love people, we could change our community and our world. Join us as Rick begins this new series by reminding us that the world needs a church that loves exceptionally.

90 Miles to Cuba
Sunday, 04 September 2011

Speaker:  Rick Thompson and Cuban Missionaries
Description:
Just 90 miles from the southernmost point in America lies Cuba, a country vastly different from our own. Yet God is alive among the people of faith in Cuba, and the Methodist Church is vibrant, strong and growing. Renewing the historic ties between the Methodist conferences of Florida and Cuba, Grace has partnered with Caunao Methodist Church near Cienfuegos, Cuba to mutually support one another. In July a team representing Grace traveled to Caunao to meet our brothers and sisters, and they came back to introduce our Grace family to its sister church in Cuba. Listen to these amazing stories of life in Cuba and how we can strengthen our brothers and sisters in a tough place to be a Christ-follower.

Living Stones
Sunday, 28 August 2011

Speaker:  Rick Thompson
Passages:
  Luke 18:8; Proverbs 18:10; 1 Peter 2:4-5

How does your faith survive the suffering and trials of life? The Tower of our Faith exists to secure us in the midst of Life's Storms. Despite the hard times and the attacks we experience at the end of the day we have our Faith to hold onto. We are encouraged by our brothers and sisters in the church who come alongside of us during difficult times. The Bible says that God is building us as Living Stones into His spiritual temple. Join us as Rick reminds us that we are Living Stones who encourage each other during life's dark times.

A Conversation with Nathan and Nicole
Sunday, 21 August 2011

Series:  Acts: The Church God Longs For Speaker:  Nathan & Nicole Keisler
Passages:
  Acts 16

Description:
The book of Acts was inspired by the Holy Spirit so we could know what kind of church God longs for. This sermon continues the series on how God birthed the church as described in the book of Acts. As we look closely at this account written by Luke of the early church, we will see that God longs for his church to have radically responsive hearts to Him and His calling on our lives. Join us for a conversation with Nathan and Nicole Keisler, Grace UMC's missionaries in Lesotho, South Africa, as they share what God is doing in their ministry and how He is using them to share His love and grace with the World.

Series:  Acts: The Church God Longs For Speaker:  George Hack & Paul Emery
Passages:
  Acts 10:1-33

Description:
The book of Acts was inspired by the Holy Spirit so we could know what kind of church God longs for. This sermon continues the series on how God birthed the church as described in the book of Acts. As we look closely at this account written by Luke of the early church, we will see that God longs for his church to become His Spirit-Empowered Witnesses and to GO and bring the Good News to those around us. In Chapter 10 of Acts we find the story of Cornelius and Peter's vision from God which made him GO to the Gentiles with the Good News. Join us as George Hack brings this message and Paul Emery and the missionary team to Guatemala share their experiences.

Living in Authentic Community
Sunday, 07 August 2011

Speaker:  Nate Larkin
Description:
This message is about one of the most destructive weapons of the enemy of our souls and the worst kept secret of the christian church, the issue of pornography. Nate Larkin explains how the devil uses pornography to destroy men and the type of devastation the addiction of pornography causes in a man's life. The good news is that God can use an Authentic Community of believers to redeem a man from this addiction as he did for Nate. Join us as Nate reminds us that God longs for his church to be a safe place for real people to bring their real selves.

As we look closely at this account written by Luke of the early church, we will see that God longs for his church to become His Spirit-Empowered Witnesses and to trust Him completely. In Chapter 9 of Acts we find the story of Saul's Conversion on the road to Damascus. In dramatic fashion, Saul becomes Paul and God uses him to share the Gospel with the Gentiles. Join us as Denny and the personal testimony of Paul Emery remind us that God never writes anyone off.
