Outfitter’s Academy offers you the opportunity to grow deeper in your faith and in your walk with the Lord by providing appropriate materials, courses and instruction helpful for growth. Several time during the year we will offer a variety of classes of all kinds that can meet you wherever you are in your walk. Our classes are designed to help you in three areas;
Classes designated as Daily Living Skills help incorporate Biblical and healthy living principles into your everyday life and actions. These classes focus on putting legs on your faith day by day. Those identified as Bible Study help to bring you a deeper knowledge of and greater understanding of the Scriptures. These classes focus on learning and increasing your intellectual understanding of God’s Word. Spiritual Formation classes help to grow your heart closer to Christ and help you in the process of becoming closer to the image of God in your own life. These classes are more contemplative in nature and are more about becoming and being. There is, of course, overlap between the three areas. Daily living skills and knowledge of God’s word help you to become a different person and contemplative processes help you in your daily living. The classes are marked to help you make a choice for your current interests. We encourage you to sign up today for one of the courses listed in this brochure. Registration forms are available at the Information Station and in the church office. You may place completed registration forms in the offering plate or in the box located at the information station. Register also by calling the church office or emailing Chuck Wise at the email address below. It is our desire to assist you and confirm you in your effort to prevail in the journey. If you have questions or comments about any of these or future course offerings, you can direct them to: Chuck Wise, Minister of Discipleship and Families cwise@gracefl.org 352-332-8770 Don’t find exactly what you are looking for? Sojourner s Sunday School Class9:30 a.m. Room A212
Teacher: Joyce Colacino and Bill Cake
Welcome! Come join us in learning the lessons from the Bible. Each week our class begins with the singing of old hymns. This is followed by announcements and the sharing of prayer concerns. In our lessons we include prayer, Bible readings, and lots of discussion. Our teachers have taught Sunday School classes for years and are just as comfortable teaching straight from the Bible as they are from the study guide that we sometimes use. For our shut-ins we record the class and mail it to them each week. Occasional socials help our “family” to better know and care for each other. Come join us and experience the warmth and love we find in learning more about the Bible. Sojourners uses the Uniform Series of Adult Bible Studies from Cokesbury publishing.

Tuesday Classes
10:00 a.m. Room A112
Facilitator: Amy Hogue and Kelly Goede
If God is who he says he is and can indeed do what he says he can do, why are so many Christians living mediocre lives? Beth Moore thinks that there is a simple answer to this question: unbelief. Therefore, in Believing God she challenges us to take God as his word, believe his promises and, as a result, live fuller lives. Don't be afraid to set aside your unbelief and experience the great blessings of God's promises. This class is ongoing and already in progress.
Beginning Tuesday, February 9th at 4:00 p.m. The Youth Lodge
Facilitator: George Hack
Join George and friends in the weight room at the Lodge for an afternoon Bible study followed by some weight training. Guys and gals both can get buff or just tone up in a safe, fun environment. Take the weight off your stress-filled week with some time with God's words and some friends in Christ and add some weight to those slack muscles. What's not to like?

Nearly every major revival within Christianity has sprung up from young adults who are seriously looking to God for spiritual direction in their lives. Young people want to know that God is real and that His Word can be trusted. They are looking to follow someone who is radically committed to the truth, and who is willing to risk it all for the sake of making a difference in the lives of others. Jesus fits that description perfectly, and His life is vividly revealed through the Bible.
Bring your Bible and a friend as we seek to follow Jesus and obey His commands.
Wednesday Classes
Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Room A112
Facilitators: Eileen Baggett & Jo Moretta
This Bible Study will resume with a new topic in the fall.
Beginning Wednesday, March 17th at 6:30 p.m.
Ten Day Trip to Israel November 2, 2010
Facilitator: Chuck Wise
Let the Bible come alive for you in the most vivid way possible. Study the Scriptures here and then visit the places where they actually took place in Israel. Nothing makes the Scriptures come more alive than to actually stand in the place where the events occurred. Breathing the same air, feeling the same Judean wilderness desert heat, feeling the spray from the Sea of Galilee mist over your face, and actually touching the wall of the Temple brings a reality that can be experienced in no other way. This study will meet for 4 weeks in the Spring, break for the summer and then resume for four more weeks in the Fall. We will travel to Israel for 10 days. Chuck Wise, minister of Discipleship has led tours four times to the Holy Land. He will lead the study and then accompany us on the trip.
