Outfitter’s Academy offers you the opportunity to grow deeper in your faith and in your walk with the Lord by providing appropriate materials, courses and instruction helpful for growth. Several time during the year we will offer a variety of classes of all kinds that can meet you wherever you are in your walk. Our classes are designed to help you in three areas:Classes designated as Daily Living Skills help incorporate Biblical & healthy living principles into your everyday life & actions. These classes focus on putting legs on your faith day by day.
Those identified as Bible Study help to bring you a deeper knowledge of and greater understanding of the Scriptures. These classes focus on learning and increasing your intellectual understanding of God’s Word.
Spiritual Formation classes help to grow your heart closer to Christ and help you in the process of becoming closer to the image of God in your own life. These classes are more contemplative in nature and are more about becoming and being.
There is, of course, overlap between the three areas. Daily living skills and knowledge of God’s word help you to become a different person and contemplative processes help you in your daily living. The classes are marked to help you make a choice for your current interests.
We encourage you to sign up today for one of the courses listed here or during our next enrollment session. Classes will be starting all throughout the year. It is our desire to assist you and confirm you in your effort to prevail in the journey. If you have questions or comments about any of these or future course offerings, you can direct them to:

Sunday 10:45 a.m. Room A107
(Bible Study) Begins Sept. 7th
Guest Teachers: Bob and Kathy Muni
A "worldview" is a way of thinking about truth and reality. It sums up the basic conclusions about life and meaning that a person figures out and lives by, either consciously or unconsciously. It is the lens through which we see. It is the sum total of what we believe about the most important issues of life, i.e.: What is really real? Are we descended from apes? Is there absolute Truth? What is the nature of God? Is there a meaning to human history? What happens at death? Is the Bible relevant for every area of life? A consistent, thoughtful worldview brings the strength of conviction, clarity of purpose and the power of persuasion to your life. This 8 week course will take us through the book “Assumptions that Affect Our Lives” by Christian Overman.

Even though the study has already begun, a person can join in any time as each weekly session can stand alone. This Study will conclude the end of October, the class will then begin Ralph Wilson’s Lord's Supper: Meditations for Disciples. Sometimes the Lord's Supper can seem boring, repetitious, or practically meaningless, providing a merely sentimental anchor to your tradition. The goal of this 10 week study is to so illuminate the rich themes of communion so that the next time -- or 100 times -- you serve or partake of the Lord's Supper, you'll recall with joy and love what it really means. Overloaded? Maxed out? Our culture encourages us to live as if we have no limits. So we fill up our schedules and empty our bank accounts. We do as much as we can, spend as much as we can, and acquire as much as we can—all in an effort to get as much as we can out of life. This six-part DVD and discussion based series leads us to the conclusion that the secret to getting more out of life is not by doing more, but by doing less. You’ll learn to create the margin you need to live the life God intends for you.

In our lessons we include prayer, Bible readings, and lots of discussion. Our teachers have taught Sunday School classes for years and are just as comfortable teaching straight from the Bible as they are from the study guide that we sometimes use. For our shut-ins we record the class and mail it to them each week. Occasional socials help our “family” to better know and care for each other.
